Martin Seligman is the founder of Positive Psychology. In 1998, he was selected to be the president of the American Psychological Association. He became disenchanted with how psychology emphasized what is wrong with people, and mostly ignored what is right with people. This wasn’t always the case, but became the trend after the second world war. Positive Psychology focuses much on virtues and positive character traits.
On his website he has several tests you can take to understand yourself better on different scales, such as gratitude, happiness and optimism. When you create a login for yourself, your tests will be saved for future reference.
